Snap the Ball, and Your Rival’s Bones, in PS3 Madden 10

The soundtrack on PS3 Madden 10 is another facet that will get hardcore gamers going. These soundtracks have become such a major part of the sports video games that the game just wouldn't be the same without it. You'll be blown away by the PS3 Madden 10 soundtrack - they've spanned the decades with these selections. One gander at the song lineup should induce and impress: "Can't C Me" by 2Pac, "Heads are Gonna Roll" by Airbourne, "Them Bones" by Alice in Chains, "Created a Monster" by B.o.B, "Revolution" by Bang Camaro, "Sabotage" by Beastie Boys, "Paranoid" by Black Sabbath, "Get 'Em Up" by Cypress Hill, "Unsung" by Helmet, "Aces High" by Iron Maiden, "Painkiller" by Judas Priest, "I Am the Bullgod" by Kid Rock, "Reckoning" by Killswitch Engage, "Blind" by Korn, "Divinations" by Mastodon, "Hate Me Now" by Nas featuring Puff Daddy, "Breed" by Nirvana, "Walk" by Pantera, "Shut 'Em Down" by Public Enemy, "Guerrilla Radio" by Rage Against the Machine, "Gaia Bleeds (Make Way for Man)" by Set Your Goals, "Duality" by Slipknot, "Sugar" by System of a Down, "Before I Die" by The Vanity Plan," and "Cheah Beah" by Young Dre The Truth.

If all those features and upgrades haven't convinced you that PS3 Madden 10 is a masterpiece, then perhaps a trip through the sports video game timeline will. Yeah, it may be a little much to rave about a current day game at the expense of the earliest football video games. After viewing the earliest football video games, however, you'll understand why PS3 Madden 10 is such an achievement. Obviously, football video games were on every gamer's wish list when the first console games were out there. The downside was, the gaming technology wasn't quite up to speed yet, so video football fanatics had to settle, in a big way. To try to generate excitement, the creators of this one insisted it featured "all the excitement" of actual football. With an open path to the end zone, this is what the number one console in the day scored a touchdown with.

Those guys on the playing field sure couldn't pass for actual football players. Let's get that out of the way. You think that photo looks limited, you should see the gameplay itself. Technology was so inadequate back then, that every moving player flickered to the point where you could barely see the action. There's just no way to try an explain how lousy the sound was. Things were so limited that a scrolling screen was out of the question. Within a couple years, things would pick up slightly, with a competing console developing a football video game. It was yards better than that first one - people looked a bit more like people, the players no longer flickered, and gamers got their scrolling screen. But it was still nothing too impressive. The video game world was certainly jazzed when that was released, but it wasn't exactly the gold standard. It would take a few more years for that to happen. This next one, coming out for the next generation of game consoles at the end of the 80s, was a sensation, and still beloved today. For many years, this was the greatest football video game. It's certainly easy to see why that one was a hit - the gameplay was far more sophisticated, incorporating actual offensive and defensive strategies. Football video games went to the next level with that one, due to the much needed upgrades. Judging by its online revival, people still enjoy it today in small doses. Yet, it's still a poor man's PS3 Madden 10. Once you've viewed all the other games, have a gander at PS3 Madden 10.

Yes, technology has been good to the video game world in general, and the football video game has benefitted from it all. No need to keep bagging on the old stuff. We've made our point. Those games did what needed to be done, and we have them to thank, indirectly, for PS3 Madden 10. Of course, PS3 Madden 10 has really taken the ball and ran with it, which is cause for serious celebration in the video game world. But it's not just the hardcore gamers that are loving this one - the critics have weighed in, and they give it the thumbs up. Reviews for PS3 Madden 10 are filled with praise such as "realistic and enjoyable." EA Sports has sacked all the competition with PS3 Madden 10, to nobody's surprise.

No doubt, PS3 Madden 10 is the real sport of champions, and don't let some douchebag tell you otherwise. Hey, each PlayStation sports video game is EPIC in its own way, but for our money, PS3 Madden 10 is the stuff legends are made of. Hardcore gamers hold this one in the highest of regard. This is the game for the real men, not just the little kids, when you go toe-to-toe for some serious money. Now, PlayStation Madden 10 fans can go toe-to-toe and play video games for money. Once you do your homework and study the playbook, you'll be in the end zone scoring points and making your rivals weep as you empty out their bank accounts.
